Chef, yes, chef! A former White House chef and Army veteran is now the star of a new restaurant show, “Kitchen Commando.”
Produced by renowned chef and reality sensation Gordon Ramsay (“Next Level Chef” and “Hell’s Kitchen”) Gordon Ramsay, “Kitchen Commando” premiered on Sunday, February 12, 2023.
The show surrounds former Army Master Sergeant Andre Rush, who went on to serve as a White House executive chef over the course of four presidential administrations. Rush went viral in 2018 when members of the press snapped photos of him helping prepare food for Ramadan at the White House, stunning the internet with his 24-inch biceps.
Now, Rush’s current mission on “Kitchen Commando” has him visiting struggling D.C.-area restaurants over 10 episodes to offer them help to get back on track and “reignite their passion for the service industry” in the process.
“Spending time with Chef Rush, I know firsthand his dedication to the food world, and his story is an inspiration to any chef,” Executive Producer Gordon Ramsay said in a press release. “And trust me, his arms are no joke!”
A new episode of “Kitchen Commando” will be released every Sunday on Tubi.
