Yurts, holiday trees and star-rated meals check out what Fiola has in store for this festive season.
Yet another amazing outdoor dining option has popped up in DC and this time is a Michelin-star rated one. Chef Trabbochi’s fabulous Italian restaurant, Fiola, has just opened its beautiful holiday yurts for outdoor dining.
The Michelin restaurant is the only DC establishment taking part of American Express nation-wide Yurt Village experience featuring top-notch restaurants from all across the country. As part of the special experience, you’ll be able to dine surrounded by beautiful twinkling lights, holiday décor and dazzling Christmas trees inside one of Fiola’s heated yurts.
Fiola’s special yurt menu includes a 5-course meal ($150/ person) featuring some of their Harvest Menu star dishes. These include exclusive shared Papillote of Foraged Mushrooms with Italian White Truffle along their full cocktail menu and award-winning wine list.
The restaurant has set up a total of 11 yurts each seating between 2 to 6 guests which are available for dining all week long. If you can’t manage to book a spot for one of Fiola’s yurts don’t worry. Fiola’s waterfront sister, Fiola Mare, has an equally awesome set up for outdoor dining.
Located by the Georgetown Waterfront, Fiola Mare has set up some dreamy igloos where you’ll be able to enjoy some of the best dishes the seafood restaurant has to offer. The globes can sit up to six guests for a two-hour experience and are fully heated and decked out with twinkling lights, making them a totally gorgeous and intimate dining experience.
Fiola Mare’s igloos require prior reservation and a $150-$200 fee depending on whether you choose to rent them for lunch, brunch or dinner. Reservations can be made online on Fiola Mare’s website.
Dinning at Fiola’s Yurt Village also requires previous reservations which can be done online (NOTE: Once made the yurt reservations cannot be changed or canceled). Because of the restaurant’s collaboration with American Express, the restaurant only accepts American Express credit cards and payment methods as the sole form of payment accepted in the Yurts.
