You can now enjoy an enchanting (and safe) waterfront dinner at District Winery!
From igloos to greenhouses, innovative outdoor settings just keep popping up around the city for the winter and we’re totally loving it, especially when it comes to waterfront igloos! So if you’re a fan of waterfront dining (and let’s face it with DC’s views who isn’t) and you’re looking for a fun way to still enjoy waterside meals with freezing temperatures, we may have just found the spot for you.
District Winery, DC’s first winery, has set up an enchanting village of igloos that are perfect for staying cozy and safe while dining by the water this winter. These three sparkling igloos come with their own heating, lighting and air filtration systems so you can enjoy some of the best local wines in a unique setting. They even have their own Bluetooth speaker!
While dining inside one of these charming igloos you’ll be able to the same food and wine that they offer at the winery which includes light bites like beet cured salmon and whipped ricotta, brunch dishes like challah French toast and of course their full list of wines.
Each igloo can sit up to six guests and can be booked for a total of 90 minutes per party to allow for sanitizing between seatings. If you’d like to check out these enchanting snow globes make sure you book your spot ahead of time. The igloos require a previous reservation plus a $100 deposit which will be applied against your check total at the end of your visit.
