Yet another of DC many museums is reopening its doors to the public and we couldn’t be more excited! The Phillips Collection will be finally reopening on Thursday, October 15, with free general admission through to November, 1.
Like many other museums around DC the Phillips Collection has revised its visitors’ guidelines to prevent the spread of coronavirus and will be opening with new health and safety measures in place. These include mandatory temperature checks at the entrance, the obligatory use of masks, maintaining the required safety distance and advanced reservations of tickets, which will be obligatory for all visitors including children and Phillips members.
Tickets for October 15 through October 18 went live on October 12 and already available for reservation online on the gallery’s website. The museum will be operating at reduced capacity from Thursday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a maximum of six tickets offered every 15 minutes. In addition, the Phillips Collection will be offering free general admission for all visitors as a thank you to its community.
Visitors will only be allowed to visit the galleries located in the Goh Annex and Sant Buildings and will also have access to the following exhibitions:
