Here’s five cool ways to spend your weekend around D.C.:
Attend The National Cannabis Festival
Though 4/20 may have passed, you’re not going to want to pass this up. The National Cannabis Festival kicks off on Saturday, bringing a litany of marijuanna-laced experiences with it. Held at RFK Stadium Festival Grounds, attendees will be able to engage in discussions about federal and state policies surrounding cannabis, workforce development, and social and racial equity; interact with over growers and exhibitors; visit the munchies station to fuel your cravings; and watch Wiz Khalifa, Ghostface Killah, and more perform!
Take A Stroll And Visit One Of These Beloved Local Coffee Shops
Let’s face it — after a long work week, we still need a weekend caffeine boost. So take advantage of the burgeoning spring weather and take a morning stroll to visit one of these beloved D.C. coffee shops. Delicious coffee and a view? There’s no better way to kick off your weekend!
Experience The Pixelbloom Exhibit At Artechouse D.C.
Peak cherry blossom season may have passed in the District, but there are still ways to get your fill! Artechouse D.C.’s Pixelbloom exhibit immerses visitors in an all-encompassing technological display of cherry blossoms and flowers galore! Open to all ages, this interactive exhibit is open until June 5.
Visit Burnside Farms For The Final Festival Of Spring Weekend
This is the final weekend of Burnside Farms’ Festival of Spring. Each spring people flock to the farm — located just outside of D.C. in Nokesville, Va. — to view its thousands of daffodils, hyacinths, and tulips. Each year, the farm plants around 2.5 million tulips and daffodils on over 15 acres of land, inviting visitors to create their perfect spring bouquet. Two daffodils sell at $1 while tulips sell for $1 the stem. You can also purchase the bulb for $1 more so you can take it home and set up your own piece of Holland in your backyard (or just your flower pot)!
