The popular pandemic pop-up Ghostburger opened its inaugural brick-and-mortar location in Shaw on Friday.
From the same team that brought you Espita, Ghostburger will be replacing the Oaxacan restaurant in the heart of Shaw. The location is undergoing a redesign to more properly reflect the new restaurant, “featuring the classic Ghostburger hot pink, neon signage, touches of teal, and black and white design accents,” according to a press release.
Ghostburger quickly became a pandemic favorite among Washingtonians for its smash burgers and cheesesteaks, even winning the 2021 Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMMY) award for Outstanding Ghost Kitchen or Pop-Up.
The new location will not only feature these fan favorites but also a new “diner-inspired brunch menu, complete with highlights like housemade scrapple, hash browns, and eggs on burgers,” as well!
Ghostburger is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and offers both delivery and takeout.
Location: 1250 9th Street NW
