It’s no thing but a(nother) chicken wing!
Dupont Circle’s Duffy’s Irish Pub announced it will be opening a second location with money awarded to it by D.C.’s Food Access Fund Grants.
“The Food Access Fund is changing the game for how we bring new food options to more DC neighborhoods,” D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said in a press release.
Duffy’s Irish Pub, which was voted Best Chicken Wings in 2021 by Washington City Paper and offers legal sports betting, will be using its awarded funds to open a second full-service location near Stadium-Armory and Cap Hill East.
“As we emerge from the pandemic, we want to make sure we don’t lose any of the characteristics that make DC truly special,” D.C. Deputy Mayor John Falcicchio said. “That means investing in small and local businesses that offer exciting and innovative ways to address the inequitable access to quality food.”
No information on when the restaurant would open is available at this time.
