Iberia resumes flights from Washington, D.C. to Madrid for the summer! The airline services direct flights between the Spanish capital and seven other major American hubs including Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Miami, New York, San Francisco, and Puerto Rico.
The special direct flights are part of Iberia’s “Summer Sector,” in which the airline ramps up schedules operating between these U.S. cities and Madrid. The extended schedules mean more regular flights with weekly frequencies every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The new schedule runs from May 2023 until October 27, 2023, to take advantage of the high season for American travel to Europe.
Flight prices start at $400 one-way and go up past $1,000 depending on the time and date. Washingtonians can find and schedule their trips online.
August, one of the airline’s busiest months, will open the way for flights on Tuesdays as well. With the expanded schedule, Iberia plans to offer a total of 60 flights from D.C. to Madrid-that is 50% more than in 2022 and nearly 91% more that of 2021 when the route initially launched.
The airline operates a fleet of A330/200 for this route which hold capacity for 288 passengers with a medley of Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Classes. Washingtonians can also fly direct to London for just under $200.
