Summer is in full swing and though we’re almost halfway through July, it still has a stunning sight to come!
Wednesday night, July’s ‘Full Buck Supermoon’ will adorn the summer night sky as the brightest Supermoon of 2022.
Named the Full Buck Supermoon because June and July mark when male deer antlers experience “full-growth mode” and come in at a rapid rate, the Supermoon will be appearing further south in the sky than normal, making it appear even larger and brighter, according to the Farmer’s Almanac.
The D.C. area can anticipate cloud coverage Wednesday afternoon into the evening, but thankfully the Full Buck Supermoon will appear full for three days, giving viewers and photographers multiple opportunities to capture the spectacular sight!
