Nothing sends true Washingtonians into a panic more than the possibility of snow. So as a bomb cyclone hitting the Midwest going into Christmas weekend sends an Arctic blast toward the East Coast, with D.C. facing the coldest temperatures it’s seen this season, Washingtonians are naturally worried.
D.C. will reach temperatures 15-20 degrees below average: Christmas Eve is expected to see a high of 25 degrees, while Christmas Day will have a high of 30 degrees. And though the chances of snow still remain up in the air, if the District were to receive an inch of snow on Christmas, it would be the first white Christmas since 2009.
