From Aretha Franklin to Marvin Gaye, this stunning concert series is all set to honor BHM!
The story of American music would be a short one without the contributions of Black American artists. So the beloved Candlelight concert series will be honoring this on an epic scale for Black History Month. The most beautiful Washingtonian venues will be magically transformed by Candlelight, into one of the city’s most enchanting nights out.
Enjoy a gospel concert like never before, an intimate jazz show honoring the greats from the genre, and other special evenings dedicated to Black musical excellence! At their Jazz and the Black Experience concert, enjoy classics from Duke Ellington and Aretha Franklin to Billie Holiday, Marvin Gaye and more!
Candlelight will also be hosting Legends of R&B, a jazz tribute to the Black American icons that left their imprint on the genre. Jill Scott, D’Angelo—and debutant band—Silk Sonic, come together for an evening full of rhythm n’ blues nostalgia.
