The Smithsonian Zoo’s ZooLights will be heading over to your neighborhood this holiday season!
Talk about letting the imagination run wild– or should we say roll wild in this case. The National Zoo has reimagined its famous holiday extravaganza, ZooLights, and its taking it on the road across the District to make sure everyone gets a little taste of holiday magic.
Come next week, powered by Pepco the ZooLights Express, a massive 24-foot truck, will be touring the city. The holiday light show on wheels will be heading to every DC ward so that people can safely view this year’s “Panda Claws” and enjoy a Christmas tradition that has been attracting visitors to the Zoo for the past 13 years.
The show will visit each DC ward every Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting with Ward 1 on Friday, November 27, and ending with Ward 8 on Saturday, December 19.
Below you can find a map* of the routes the ZooLights Express will be taking when visiting the wards. For more information make sure to check out the Zoo’s website.
