Do you have what it takes to escape? The Escape Game wants you to find out!
The company behind 23 interactive game locations in the United States, including one in Georgetown, has just opened a new location in downtown D.C.’s Penn Quarter.
“We are excited to bring The Escape Game’s immersive experiences to Downtown DC,” director of marketing and brand at The Escape Game, Teddy Cheek, said in a press release. “Our highly-curated escape rooms are designed by world-class game designers that over four million players have enjoyed nationwide.”
With varying levels of difficulty and themes, there’s bound to be a room that appeals to you — from a submarine escape in The Depths, to the high-stakes Prison Break, to the almost D.C.-thematic rooms harboring The Heist and Special Ops.
We, personally, had to try The Heist. Pulling off an art heist in a city surrounded by Smithsonians? Yes, please!
After you pick your adventure, participants (up to eight people per group) have 60 minutes to solve a series of brain-stumping puzzles that will hopefully lead to your team’s escape. The plot-twists themselves will keep you guessing!
