The Wharf’s popular Mi Vida Mexican restaurant opened a new flagship location on 14th Street NW in Logan Circle on Monday, Aug. 8—and it’s already causing a stir!
Featuring more small plates and shareables than The Wharf’s beloved maiden establishment, patrons can rejoice in knowing that favorites—like the mouth-watering Tatanachos and cocktail of choice La Frozen (Sauza Blanco, Mango, Ginger, Passion Fruit, Agave, Fresh-Squeezed Lime)—are still available.
With the new flagship’s exterior boasting a vibrant cascade of colors—including multiple shades of pink—locals and visitors alike have also been quick to take to social media to compliment the food and offer differing opinions on the design aesthetic of the new restaurant.
Mi Vida has taken it in stride, even compiling a video of some of the less-than-loving comments it’s received with the hashtag, #westandbyit.
“God the influencers are going to come out in masses,” one commenter wrote.
“This building was so much nicer before Lisa Frank threw up on it,” another wrote.
But not all of the reactions were negative!
“Thank you for bringing some global culture in the neighborhood,” one user responded.
“Me encanta el muro,” another wrote, followed by a heart emoji.
Whether you want to indulge in some delicious small plates or snap a photo with the vivid and striking decor, you can find the newest Mi Vida at 1901 14th Street NW.
