TheatreWashington is ushering the new season of plays and musicals in style with D.C.’s Theatre Week.
From Wednesday, Sept. 22 through Oct. 9, numerous D.C. theatres and companies are offering free and discounted shows and events to preview the upcoming season.
“We are thrilled to announce the return of Theatre Week, a celebration of the Washington, DC area theatre community,” Theatre Washington President and CEO Amy Austin said in a press release.
“Second to none, the DC-area theatre landscape offers something for everyone — so we invite you to come as you are and get to know a new-to-you theatre, take a chance on something fresh, sample classes and conversations, meet the artists and our community, and most importantly have some fun. This year marks a revival of our industry and we look forward to celebrating it.”
Showing a range of productions—from musicals to plays and classic works to new pieces—tickets to the shows are available for $22, $33, and $44 in venues across the city.
